Regional Admissions Office (Asia Pacific)

Located in Hong Kong, The WMG Regional Office, is responsible for students from Southeast Asian countries. The existing scope of duties of the Regional Office are:

  • to answer student inquiries for all WMG courses;

  • to promote awareness of the courses offered in WMG by holding exhibitions and seminars;

  • to process applications for WMG MSc courses and to issue offer/reject letters to students;

  • to liaise with University offices in the UK.

Staff

Professor S.W. Cheung, Director of the office, joined the University of Warwick as Senior Fellow at WMG in 1989. In 1994, he was seconded to Hong Kong as Operations Manager of the Integrated Graduated Development Scheme jointly offered by the University of Warwick and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also responsible for promotion and recruitment work in Asian countries, including Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.  In 2000, he was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Fellow by the University. In the same year, he was appointed as Director of Asia Pacific Services for WMG.  His scope of responsibility was further expanded to co-ordinate consultancy services and set up partnerships with overseas institutions. In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Professor by the University.

Miss Euphemia F.T. Yuen, Regional Admissions Advisor of the office, joined WMG in 2000. She is responsible for handling student applications and administration work of the office.  In 2008, she was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Fellow by the University.
