Helen Chen
I chose Warwick as one of the top universities in the UK with an excellent reputation and was impressed by WMG’s close links to industries. I was also really taken by Warwick’s particularly attractive campus. At first I found the programme quite challenging but once I got to grips with the way the course was structured and the teaching style I started really enjoying the experience of learning at WMG. The lectures were intensive and the assignments stretching but the teaching staff and my fellow students were very supportive which made it a great atmosphere in which to learn and study. The course content was highly practical and contained a lot of hands-on exercises which I found very beneficial for us, the practitioners-to-be, in the field of supply chain and logistics management. I graduated in 2010 with Distinction degree and moved back to China. With a more clear sense about my career path, I applied for a position as a business operations manager. A few weeks after the final round of interviews, I was offered a job in supply chain management by one of the world's best-know technology companies. The course at Warwick has helped me make my career change smoothly. And I had fun too! I believe that what I've learned there will benefit me both professionally and personally for many years to come."

Having just secured a new job after completing her MSc in Supply Chain Logistics and Management, Helen Chen talked about her year at WMG – and what brought her to Warwick in the first place.
Apart from providing me with a great learning experience, the most interesting part of my WMG experience was to study and work together with students from diverse backgrounds and with very distinct personalities. This has definitely broadened my perspective and enhanced my communication and interpersonal skills, which is important in today’s global business. It has also given me the great opportunity to befriend some really interesting people.
