WMG receives accreditation from the Association for Project Management

Sue ParrWMG, at the University of Warwick, has received an accreditation from the Association for Project Management (APM) for its industry relevance, quality of teaching, and innovative material.

WMG has been collaborating with the APM for many years and this is the second accreditation that the APM has given to WMG. The previous accreditation was for the Project Management content on the Technical Accreditation Scheme, a programme for Jaguar Land Rover and Network Rail.

WMG has a longstanding reputation as a leader in Project Management education and with increasingly complex environments, large supply chains, and multi-partner projects, there is an ever growing demand from organisations to train their staff in the nuances of project management.

Nick Jones, APM senior membership development manager said:

WMG’s gaining Academic Accreditation is an active demonstration of their commitment to the profession and the professional body’s standards. From APM’s point of view, Warwick is a renowned name within the HEI sector, and their close relationships with the external business community, including a number of our corporate members, are of real value.”

Sue Parr, Head of Business Development at WMG said:

“We are delighted to have received this recognition from the APM. Project Management education is high on the agenda for many organisations and our approach to delivering the Masters Programme is highly flexible and innovative.”

Helen Rose, European IT Lead at UTC Aerospace Systems, who is a current student on the Programme and Project Management Masters said:

“The APM accreditation for the WMG PPM course is fantastic news. The learning and knowledge from this course helps me tremendously with my current project management role and the recognition from the leading project management industry body will inevitably give me a leading edge in the future.”

The WMG Programme and Project Management Masters is one of ten Masters programmes offered to employees already working in industry. WMG also provides a fully customised approach to education for working professionals, and is able to develop packages to meet a whole range of skill requirements across engineering, manufacturing, technology, leadership and management disciplines.
