Addressing the cyber skills shortage

Tim WatsonWe are excited to announce that we will be working with Cyber Scheme, by helping to run assessments for its newly accredited CSTL examination for the Team Leader qualification.

The Cyber Scheme is run by an independent board of directors drawn from a range of backgrounds but with significant experience in business and cyber security. The not-for-profit Cyber Scheme has been set up with the approval of NCSC (formerly GCHQ) as the national authority on cyber security.

Its vision is to provide a high quality platform for certification in a range of critical areas to support the UK’s National Cyber Security needs, digital resilience and the economic wellbeing across the full spectrum of business, academia and the public sector. It is crucial that each of these sectors have access to suitably qualified staff in order to meet the challenges they face in today’s digital world.

Professor Tim Watson, Director of the Cyber Security Centre at WMG, explains: “We are really excited to be working with Cyber Scheme and our industry partners. This is an important new scheme that will help to provide the next generation of world-class cyber security professionals.”
