How to get started for this course?
Welcome to the ELT(ICT and MM) programme.
What can you do to get prepared for the course?
Here are four things you can do to get prepared for the ICT and Multimedia Specialisation.
1-Use www.teachertrainingvideos.com
The programme leader Russell Stannard, runs a huge website that provides training in using many of the technologies you will need to do the ELT ( ICT and MM) modules. It recently won the British Council ELTons award for innovation. You will need speakers or headphones to follow the videos.

2-A good blog to follow
Many consider Nick Peachey's technology blog to be one of the most interesting blogs on ICT. It is very practical guiding you towards a whole variety of technologies and providing you with lots of useful ways to make use them

3-A book to read
If you are wondering how best to prepare for the course, we suggest buying Dudeney, G. and Hockly, N. (2007) 'How to teach English with Technology' Harlow: Pearson Longman and starting to read through it. It comes with a related CD ROM which has interviews and video clips which are also useful background information.
4-Listen to an interview with teh British Council and Russell Stannard at the IATEFL Conference 2010.
