    Options for MA Programmes

    Term Two Options for 2010/11 are likely to be:

    • English as an International Language [Weeks 1-10, 2 hours a week]
    • English for Young Learners (compulsory for MA in ELT with a specialism in EYL) [Weeks 1-5, 4 hours a week]
    • ICT in ELT (compulsory for MA in ELT with a specialism in ICT and Multimedia) [Weeks 1-5, 4 hours a week]
    • Language Testing (compulsory for MA in ELT with a specialism in Testing and Assessment) [Weeks 1-5, 4 hours a week]
    • Literature and Drama in ELT [Weeks 1-10, 2 hours a week]
    • The Management of Educational Institutions [Weeks 1-10, 2 hours a week]
    • Professional and Academic Discourse (compulsory for MA in ELT with a specialism in ESP) [Weeks 1-5, 4 hours a week]
    • Syllabus, Materials, and Task Design (compulsory for and available only to pre-experience students) [Weeks 1-5, 4 hours a week]
    • Teacher Education and Development (for post-experience students only) [Weeks 1-10, 2 hours a week]

    Please note that the availability of individual option modules in any particular year may be subject to change.
