    Tongue Twisters

You may find it fun and amusing to practise ‘tongue twisters’. These are sentences and phrases that are amusing and difficult to say, and which help you to practise a particular sound or groups of sounds.

Here are some examples of tongue twisters that you can repeat using the ‘th’ sound, which is a difficult sound for some people. Try recording them and increasing the speed gradually, as you improve in confidence!

King Thistle stuck a thousand thistles in the thistle of his thumb.
A thousand thistles King Thistle stuck in the thistle of his thumb.
If King Thistle stuck a thousand thistles in the thistle of his thumb,
How many thistles did King Thistle stick in the thistle of his thumb?
