You are invited to a Drinks Reception generously sponsored by Elsevier, followed by the announcement of the winner of the BAAL Book Prize.
This will be followed by a barbecue at Cryfield Sports Pavilion (a short walk away) including a bar. Great for socialising and enjoying the beautiful local scenery!
Cooked meal available in Rootes Reception for those who do not want to attend the barbecue.

Conference Dinner and Local Band in the Panorama Suite of the Rootes Building. (The Conference Dinner is an additional £45. Menu choices must be made in advance.)
Starters:
Mozzarella and sunburst tomato salad
Tartare of smoked and char-grilled salmon
Smoked chicken Caesar salad
Main
Breast of corn fed chicken with a ham and pea stuffing
Beef fillet with braised cheek
Spiced lentil and coriander bitok
Dessert:
Dark chocolate tart with tangerine ice
Fruit Tatin
Vanilla panacotta with red berry soup

The Gala Dinner will be followed by the fantastic 2Rude ska band
. We chose this band as it highlights one of Coventry's proudest moments - the birth of ska music in the 1980s. If you haven't heard this infectious, ultimately danceable music you have missed a treat. The band are sure to have us all on our feet reliving our (misspent?) youth. Even if you opt to just sit and toe-tap you will love the high energy entertainment value. Make sure you have booked your place at the Gala Dinner to enjoy this great evening!
