The Discourse of British Academic Spoken English.
A number of projects make use of the BASE Plus (British Academic Spoken English Plus) collection of video recordings of authentic lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences. Topics include the relationship between academic identity and argument, and the uses of metaphor in academic talk.
