Geoff Lindsay

Geoff Lindsay celebrated his 21 years at the University of Warwick, including 17 years as Director or CEDAR, at the University's recent long service awards event.

Geoff was appointed to the inaugural chair in Special Educational Needs and Educational Psychology in the Warwick Institute of Education on 1 November 1995, moving from his previous post as Principal Educational Psychologist for Sheffield Local Authority. He became Director of CEDAR in 1999, replacing Professor Bob Burgess when he became Vice Chancellor or the University of Leicester. Geoff writes:

' I have spent 21 very happy years at Warwick and especially as Director of CEDAR. I have found Warwick to be an excellent place to work, combing high achievement and aspiration with a strong sense of collegiality. The university has always supported CEDAR's development as a nationally and internationally respect research centre with a very strong record of research at the interface of policy and practice. I am looking forward to the new challenge for CEDAR as part of the university's development in California.'

Geoff is pictured receiving his long service award from Professor Stuart Croft, Vice Chancellor and President.
