STAND UP FOR SHAKESPEARE – THE ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY’S LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE NETWORK

Sheila Galloway, Geoff Lindsay, Jonothan Neelands (WIE)

The Teacher Training and Development Agency for Schools is funding this project to assess certain aspects of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Learning and Performance Network’s activities. The three key areas are: the impact of the accredited master’s level training on teachers and learners; the potential link between this accredited CPD programme and the new Masters in Teaching and Learning; and the effectiveness of regional CPD based on school clusters. The project includes surveys of teachers, case studies of clusters, a meta-analysis of action research reports produced by LPN teachers, and interviews with school senior managers and LPN staff about the effects of LPN activities so far.
