Dr Stephen M Cullen is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Educational Development, Appraisal and Research (CEDAR). His background is in teaching, having taught economics, politics, and history at schools, including Eton, and for the Open University. He holds an M.A. (Hons) in politics and economic history from the University of Edinburgh, an M.Litt. in political history from the University of Oxford, and a D.Phil. in modern history from the University of Oxford. He studied at Nuffield College, Oxford, and Wolfson College, Oxford.
EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH and REPORTS:
His educational research interests include fathers, parenting support, early intervention, and gifted and talented education.
He is a lead researcher on the evaluation of the UK government's CANparent Trial in England. He is also a lead researcher in three evaluations for Addaction, a UK-wide drug and alcohol treatment charity, and for the Autism Education Trust's Department for Education sponsored AET Programme.

Current projects:
He is preparing a chapter on British Jews and the Communist Party of Great Britain for A Vanished Ideology: essays on the Jewish Communist Movement in the English speaking world in the Twentieth Century, edited by Dr. Henry F. Srebrnik, to be published by the State University of New York Press, New York, in 2014.
He is also working on a book length study of women on the far right in the twentieth century, entitled Unsettling Women; women and the ultra-right in Britain, 1900-1950
