I learnt so much from my teachers and they inspired my career into teaching. I hope one day my students will say the same about me. Anonymous quote from a teacher. ANONYMOUS TEACHERoutstanding_colour_iteprimary.jpgoutstanding_colour_itesecondary.jpg

School-led Teacher Training - Schools & Places 2017/18

We build effective partnerships with over 500 schools on placements, teacher training, professional development and school improvement.

Below is a map of the main School Direct partner alliances (the lead teaching school), which heads a network of other alliance schools in the area. If you are applying for a School Direct place - please note you may not necessarily be placed within the lead teaching school listed below, but within one of their alliance schools.

Trainees on PGCE core and School Direct programmes receive similarly high-quality training because of the partnership’s very strong focus on the equality of trainees’ experience. Programmes and training are tailored effectively to take good account of the individual needs of these different groups of trainees. The strong partnership reflects the provider’s aim of creating a fully collaborative approach between the university and schools at both operational and strategic levels.”
