    Dr. Heribert Dieter

    Dr Heribert Dieter studied political science and economics at the Freie Universität Berlin and at the Australian National University in Canberra. He is a Senior Research Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, Berlin. Heribert Dieter has worked on regional integration in the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Central Asia. Recent publications include a monograph and various articles on the Asian crisis, articles on the future of the WTO and on the new international financial architecture.

    His current research focus is on the development of regional integration arrangements after the financial crises of the 1990s, in particular the emergence of monetary regionalism.
