The Department of Economics are delighted to host Nicholas Christakis at The University of Warwick on Wednesday 22 October 2014.
Nicholas is a world-renowned Professor of Social and Natural Science at Yale University. Sociologist and physician, his world leading research on social networks and social contagion tracks how a wide variety of traits – from happiness to obesity can spread from person to person. Nicholas Christakis will be presenting his research into the structure and function of Human Social Networks.
This is an event not to be missed and open to all staff, students and the general public, although space is at a premium and registration is compulsory.

Nicholas A. Christakis, MD, PhD, MPH is a social scientist and physician who conducts research on social factors that affect health, health care, and longevity.
He directs the Human Nature Lab at Yale University, and is the Co-Director of the Yale Institute for Network Science.
