Department of Economics awarded at least six ESRC PhD grants per year

The Department is delighted to announce that, as a result of a recent competition, the ESRC has awarded the University of Warwick a substantial Doctoral Training Centre grant, the third largest such grant to a single institution in the UK. As an element of this award, the ESRC’s steer to Warwick is that at least 6 PhD studentships per year are allocated to study in Economics. The first grants will be awarded from September 2011. We look forward to awarding these prestigious and financially very attractive studentships to the very best student applicants. Details of how to apply will be posted shortly.
