Rocco D'Este secures place on prestigious IZA@DC

We are pleased to announce that Rocco D’Este, a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Economics has secured one of the small number of places available on the 3rd IZA@DC Young Scholar program with his paper “The Effect of Stolen Goods Markets on Crime: Evidence from a Quasi Natural Experiment”. The prestigious scholar program takes place in Washington DC from the 21-26 September 2014. Rocco will prepare and deliver a 40 minute presentation about his paper at the workshop.

The IZA is the Institute for the Study of Labor, established in 1998 in Bonn, Germany. It operates an international network of around 1,300 economists and researchers spanning across more than 45 countries. The IZA@DC program aims to expose outstanding PhD students from outside the US working in the field of labour economics to the world's leading labour economists. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 10 students.
