The Department of Economics at the University of Warwick congratulates Nicholas Crafts on being named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the most recent Queen's Birthday Honours List.

The Department of Economics at the University of Warwick congratulates Nicholas Crafts on being named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the most recent Queen's Birthday Honours List.

The honour was presented for his services to economic policy. Crafts, a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick, directs its Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE), funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Prof. Crafts, whose research examines economic history to inform current policy debates, is one of a wide range of extraordinary people across the UK who received awards.

He is also a Fellow of the British Academy, an honour recognising scholarly distinction in the social sciences.
