Postgraduate Study - MSc Economics and Industrial Organisation
The MSc in Economics and Industrial Organisation is a sister course to the long-established MSc Economics. This exciting course will provide you with a thorough grounding in core micro, macro and quantitative economics. It is developed to include a set of closely tailored option modules plus a unique student workshop in the area. The MSc will be completed by an individual student dissertation. The course will appeal in particular to students wishing to pursue a career either in the private sector or with a government agency. This will be facilitated by the links we have developed with practitioners from this area, who will lead some of the workshop sessions.

Our MSc is designed to link economic theory and empirical economics with the practice of Industrial Economics to provide you with a full skill set and knowledge base for further employment in research, private companies, or governmental agencies. The MSc Economics and Industrial Organisation is a quantitative degree and students will need to be competent in several areas of mathematics. All student attend a short pre-sessional mathematics and statistics course before the term starts.

Entry requirements
First or upper-second class honours degree or equivalent in economics or a closely-related subject. If English is not your first language, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 250.
