Current Research: My research tries to improve our understanding (from both a theoretical and empirical angle) of the determinants of firms organizational and contractual forms, their impact on productivity, and in developing conceptual tools to design effective micro-policies to promote private sector development in low income countries. I am currently conducting a series of projects in two sectors, garments and coffee, as well as theoretical work on (the lack of growth) among microenterprises.
