Amira is an Assistant Professor in the Economics department. She started her academic journey at the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow and later became a part of the Warwick Economics Department in 2016.

Amira is a dedicated educator and researcher with a wealth of experience across academic, governmental, private, and international policy projects. She worked for multiple organizations in Egypt, including the Information and Decision Support Centre, the Minister of Planning and Economic Cooperation, and the Appropriation Committee in the Egyptian Parliament. She worked for international organization such as UNDP in Egypt and Indonesia, the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council, WHO, and USAID.
