Maria de Hoyos joined the Warwick Institute for Employment Research (IER) in September 2004. Having completed a PhD in Education, Maria's work at IER spans a range of areas from evaluating learning and development in organisations, to the investigation of recruitment and retention issues in rural areas. Recently, she has been involved in two projects exploring the use of digital channels among job seekers and benefit claimants. Outcomes of all the projects in which Maria has taken part include reports and/or academic publications. Maria specialises in qualitative research methods but also has experience in conducting quantitative analyses of secondary data.
