Beyond current horizons - working and employment

Rob Wilson was appointed to undertake a review of issues in the world of employment and work that will have implications for education in the medium to longterm future. This was part of a much larger programme of work funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to look at the future of education. It was organised under the banner of Beyond Current Horizons (BCH) and was managed by Futurelab on behalf of DCSF.

As the name of the programme suggests, the DCSF was keen to look beyond conventional boundaries to see what the future holds for education, and in particular (in this case) the interface with the world of work. Rob was appointed as a Challenge Lead, to organise a series of rapid reviews of relevant research evidence relating to the area of Working and Employment.
