Forecasting Symposium - travel and accommodation

Getting to and from the University

London Heathrow has most flights and is probably more convenient than Gatwick. However Birmingham is the nearest airport. There are direct flights to Bimingham from many places and the airport is just a short taxi ride from the University.

  • The other main alternative is rail. Coventry is the nearest rail station and has good services from London. There are fast and regular rail links from both Gatwick and Heathrow, but these mainly go via Central London. You then need to get a train from there to Coventry (or Warwick/ Leamington Spa). It is then a taxi ride to the University.
