Under the skin: service needs and adequacy of delivery responses following major life events in rural areas - job loss

The aim of this research project was to undertake a review of service needs and delivery following the major life event of job loss in rural areas. It looked at the event of job loss through the particularities of publicly accessible, publicly-fundable services for the unemployed. The review formed part of the evidence base and served as a scaffold for a major qualitative study into services delivery in rural areas following major life events commissioned separately by the Commission for Rural Communities.
