National strategic skills audit for Wales
This project aimed was to produce an updated and revised National Strategic Skills Audit for Wales. This was designed to identify and understand some of the more important and predictable long-term future skills needs of the Welsh economy, enabling the Welsh Government to identify and tackle any mismatches between supply and demand. The project involved a review of the NSSA Wales 2011, sourcing and analysis of new datasets, analysis of contextual literature on Welsh employment and skills policy and priority sector analysis.
The project was led by the Institute for Employment Studies, with IER undertaking analysis of the quantitative datasets.
