Exclusivity of Publication
Publication Policy
1. Introduction
This policy sets out the terms under which authors (whether singly or joint authors) agree to permit the Entertainment and Sports Law Journal (the Journal) to reproduce their manuscript.
2. Copyright
Copyright in the manuscript remains with the authors, who grant the Journal a licence to publish it.
3. Authorship
Submission to the Journal implies that
i) you are the original author and the owner of the copyright in the manuscript;
ii) that
a) the material has neither previously been published elsewhere;
b) is not presently under consideration by any other journal(s); and
c) will not be submitted elsewhere until the editors of the Journal inform you in writing that they do not
intend to publish the manuscript;
iii) the manuscript is not defamatory and does not infringe any other rights of any third party;
iv) you agree to indemnify the Journal and its Editors for any loss or damage arising from the breach of any of these warranties or for any other liability which may arise in connection with the publication of your manuscript.
4. Subsequent publication of manuscript
Although copyright in the manuscript remains with the author, if you wish to publish your manuscript elsewhere after it is published in the Journal you undertake to obtain the editors’ permission in advance to do so.
5. Governing law
The law of England and Wales applies to this policy.
