Human Rights and Multinational Corporations

The Centre's work in this field concentrates on developing ideas for how robust and meaningful obligations can be developed to hold corporations accountable for their human rights responsibilities. Key recent activities include:

  • A series of articles in Lacuna Magazine which explore this theme.
  • Various academic articles and reports on business and human rights issues.
  • An empirical research agenda undertaken in partnership with US-based thinktank Nomogaia to understand the impact of key human rights impacts and initiatives, with a focus on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. You can find out more about this initiative here.
