ABOUT ME
I am a 2nd year PhD student in the department of Politics and International Studies
, University of Warwick (2009-2011). I completed my MA in Globalisation and Development from the same department (2007-2008). I have a BSc. in Sociology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria (2000-2004).
As part of compulsory national service, I served with the National Youth Service Corps [NYSC] (February 2006- February 2007) in Lagos State, Nigeria. In that time I was trained and certified as a 'Development Knowledge Facilitator' under the 'Debate to Action'
programme (sponsored by the British Council/ World Bank Institute). Under NYSC I was posted to teach the subject 'Government' (elementary Political Science) to senior secondary school students, where I also facilitated a group of sixty-six (66) students; raising awareness on the role of Nigerian youth and communities in dealing with the challenges of achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through the National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy
(NEEDS).
I also work part-time as Human Resources Assistant at the University of Warwick Library.
