China and the changing global order - slim banner

How is China’s rise changing the global order?

This question has become increasingly salient since the beginning of the 2010s, when the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is widely assumed to have adopted a new assertive foreign policy.

This conference will take a distinctive approach to analysing China’s changing leadership role in the international community with a focus on examining the PRC’s visions for global governance.

The Hallsworth Conference on China and the Changing Global Order examines three critical questions:
  1. How is China’s rise changing the global order?

  2. Do China’s visions for global order represent a viable alternative mode of global governance?

  3. How will more Sino-centric global governance institutions shape international power relations?
