The School provides a coffee/tea service each morning in both School Lounges between 10.15 and 11.15 a.m.  when staff are encouraged to take a short break.  In addition there is a hot drinks machine in both lounges which operates on free vend during coffee time for staff and Doctoral students only; at other times there is a charge. Constant boiling water is provided by wall mounted boilers. Please do not leave opened food or drink in the fridges as it contaminates the milk and it will be thrown away. Milk is provided by the school for morning coffee and should not be removed from the kitchen at any time during the day, any surplus can then be used during the rest of the day. The kitchens next to the School Lounges can be used at other times should you wish to bring your own ingredients and an area of both lounges is normally reserved for staff lunch breaks when events are booked. 

There are other drinks and snack vending machines available in the student lounge in WBS Scarman Road and in the main Social Studies foyer area. A snack bar is open during term time in the Social Studies foyer and University House has a more substantial menu available. The university has numerous other catering outlets in the Arts Centre, Rootes Social Building, Students Union Building, University House and the Library.
