What is eduroam?
Eduroam is a service that is desgined to allow academics and students to access the Internet at different institutions across the UK (and increasingly the world) using their home institution's username and password. You can find out more about eduroam at http://www.eduroam.org/
Username
You can connect to the eduroam service using your normal WBS username and password, that is used to access WBS computers and email accounts.
Because this service is operated across multiple institutions, you will have to append @wbs.ac.uk to the username.
For example:
msf10tst@wbs.ac.uk
issutest@wbs.ac.uk
The password you should use is the same one for accessing my.wbs
Connecting
Most modern devices and operating systems will automatically detect the type of network that eduroam is set up as.
You may be asked to approve the certificate AddTrust External CA Root if your device is not aware of this. The certificate can be found here - https://support.comodo.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownload&downloaditemid=87
IT Services have excellent instructions on connecting from various devices and platforms available here
There are instructions for an even wider range of devices on the Oxford University Computing Services eduroam page
