At Warwick Business School we use exclusively Dell computers. Our experience is that these provide quality and excellent service. Computers are generally bought with a 3-year next day, on-site guarantee.

Dell produce two ranges of computers:

• A range of computers aimed at the home market (e.g. the Inspiron and Dimension ranges). These products are generally tweaked for gaming and other leisure needs. In order to keep down the costs, the components used in these ranges are likely to change regularly. We do not purchase any computers from these ranges
• A range of computers aimed at the business market (e.g. that Latitude and Optiplex ranges). These products are designed to perform better at standard office activities. The Dell Stable Image Assurance Program (SIAP) is intended by Dell to lower the total cost of ownership by enabling users to qualify and deploy a single hard drive image.
