Athens is a country-wide authentication service giving users access to a wide range of electronic resources such as databases and journals.
When you are on campus, access to Athens is usually automatic. When you are off-campus however you will need to follow the process below.
To access Athens when off-campus:
- Open a web browser and go to the Athens setup link
. You should only need to do this once although you will need to do it on each computer you use.
- Ensure the 'Remember this organisation' box is ticked. Click the 'Go to the University of Warwick login page' link.

- You should now follow the on screen instructions. When asked to log in you can either use your IT Services username (typically start bs…) or Warwick Business School username (something like ef08xx)
- The University of Warwick library has some pages showing key resources for different areas of study:
If you need further advice on finding information you can contact your course/programme staff or contact one of the specialist library staff
or email library-businessteam@warwick.ac.uk
