Control Panels
The lectern has two control panels similar to that shown below with a centre touch panel and hard buttons down either side. These panels are identical. The duplication provides backup in case one panel fails.

How to use the equipment
-
If the Control Panel Touch Screen is dark, touch the screen to turn it on.
-
If you are using the WBS computer:
-
Ensure it is turned on (in the cabinet to your right)
-
Ensure the monitor is turned on (power button to the bottom right of the screen)
-
If you wish to use a memory stick, insert it into the extension socket hanging from the computer
-
Log in with the username indicated in the room (either on the lectern or in the AV instructions). No password is required.
-
If you are using a personal laptop, connect it using the video and audio cables on the lectern.
-
Select the appropriate source from the hard ‘ Source buttons’. NB the ‘Cam’ button refers to the Visualiser (i.e. Camera).
-
Select the lighting level you desire using the hard ‘ Lighting buttons’. There are four lighting levels from Hall (brightest) to Off (no lights).
-
You will see a progress bar that shows when the projector is ready (takes approximately 30 seconds). When the projector is on and you are ready, press the ‘Start Projecting’ button. Note that sound is not audible until you are projecting to the audience.

-
The volume control is designed to prevent sudden changes in volume that might cause discomfort to your audience or damage to the equipment. To change the volume, touch the control at the desired level. The level will then adjust to this new level progressively.
-
When you have finished please ensure you turn off the system by pressing the PWR button (top left). This brings up a prompt asking you to confirm that you wish to shut down.

-
You can stop projecting at any time by pressing the ‘Stop Projecting’ button. You can swap between input sources during your presentation by clicking on the appropriate ‘source buttons’ and pressing ‘Start Projecting’ when ready.
