Issue

You are a WBS PhD researcher. When trying to run Scientific Word you get the following message "Licence Verification Error. Licensed number of users reached."

Cause

There is no problem with the program. The PhD programme have purchased 3 concurrent licences for the software for the sole use of PhD researchers. The message is indicating that all three licences are currently in use and that you cannot therefore run the software at this time. You are given the option to continue but you will only be able to read documents and not print or save them.

Solution

Please try again at a less busy time. If you feel more licences are needed please contact the PhD programme office although you should be aware that licences for Scientifc Word are very expensive. You may wish to consider using an alternative package such as WinEdt. This should be available through WBS-Applications.
