Harry Scarbrough

Harry Scarbrough is a Professor in the Information Systems and Management group at Warwick Business School. Previously, he was Director of the ESRC Evolution of Business Knowledge (EBK) research programme. Harry is a founder member of ikon and his research interests focus on the management of knowledge and learning in and across organizations. This encompasses roles as principal/co-investigator on a number of research council and SDO-funded studies (http://users.wbs.ac.uk/group/ikon/research/projects) as follows; The evaluation of translational initiatives (CLAHRCs) in the UK health sector The role of evidence in management decision-making in the NHS The impact of communities of practice on organizational performance Interdisciplinary collaboration in computer games development The role of social networks in innovation The capture and spread of learning from projects In addition, Harry is Academic Director for the 'Knowledge and Innovation Network' (KIN) (www.ki-network.org). Other commissioned research includes work for the British Standards Institute, and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the latter including a study on 'Evaluating Human Capital'.
