Over GBP18,000 has been awarded by the ESRC Seminar Series annual competition to run a series of five seminars at five universities to bring together research active scholars, particularly early career researchers.
Three Doctoral graduates from WBS will co-ordinate the seminars; they are Dr Bridgette Sullivan-Taylor (PI), Dr Deborah Dean (Co-I), also at WBS, and Dr Sandy MacDonald (Co-I) who is at Northampton University Business School.
The seminar series, on emotion and embodiment in research, will allow new career researchers to discuss methodological issues with more experienced researchers, will bring invited international scholars to provide a forum for the exploration and theorisation of the impact of emotions on the research process, and so encourage a greater understanding of the emotional significance and impact of research.
