Equivalence Tests
At the Institute of Education, University of Warwick we offer equivalency tests in English and Mathematics for international applicants (PGCE Secondary only) who are unable to show evidence of equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics from their country of origin.
Please note that we are offering equivalence tests as follows:
- English
- Mathematics
Candidates who are currently studying for a GCSE in the required subject cannot enter for the equivalency test. If you pass one of the equivalence tests with us you will be issued with a Warwick certificate.
There is one paper for each subject and each test lasts two hours. An administration charge of £30 is payable before the test. Only one subject paper can be sat per date. This is the test only with no teaching element involved so should you feel you need to refresh on the subject you will need to apply next year and make your own arrangements to enrol on a conventional GCSE course in the meantime.
