PGCE (Graduate Teacher Programme)/MA Educational Innovation

    ltt-header-2.jpg

What is the PGCE(GTP)/MA Educational Innovation?

The GTP is an employment-based route into teaching which leads to:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • PGCE - Postgraduate Certificate in Education
    • 90 credits towards our MA Educational Innovation (60 credits at M level and 30 credits at H level)

PGCE(GTP) trainees are employed as an unqualified teacher at a school while they train with us. GTP at the University of Warwick offers training within the Secondary age phase.

What candidates are we looking for?

The PGCE(GTP) is particularly suitable for candidates who move from various professions into teaching and can offer considerable work experience and a wide range of transferrable skills.

    Information for PGCE (GTP) Applicants

Further Guidance for all PGCE Applicants

I think both GTP and PGCE have their merits but have certainly appreciated the perspective gained from spending a whole year on the job whilst training.
