Please note that if you are applying for Early Years or Primary courses, GTTR must receive your application by 1 December 2011 to guarantee that they can send it to your first choice training provider for consideration. Selection criteria
The Selection ProcessAfter considering your application form we will invite you to a Selection Day during which you will be given a course overview and asked to take part in assessment exercises. If you are shortlisted to take part in the Selection Day you will also be asked to arrange a short visit to an early years setting, school or college and they will be asked to complete a short report about your time there. The interview is an individual one with a specialist tutor and will normally involve a teacher from one of our partnership schools. As well as your academic background, we need to consider whether you have the personal qualities and experience necessary to work as a competent teacher. The interview also gives you the chance to look in more detail at our course and assess for yourself whether it is right one for you.
