Before your interview you will be asked to spend one day in a school local to you. The school will be asked to complete a simple report form to provide us with feedback on your approach and demeanour.

On the day of your interview, you will be given a short presentation about the PGCE course that you have applied for followed by interview tasks:

• A short written task (45 minutes) - guidelines will be given when you are invited to the Selection Day.
• A 5 minute presentation - guidelines will be given to help you to prepare for this.
• A simulation task for English with Drama and Drama with English candidates (instead of the presentation)

All candidates will be interviewed individually by a specialist tutor, usually accompanied by a teacher from one of our partnership schools. This is an opportunity for us to find out a little bit more about you, as well as giving you an opportunity to look in more detail at the course and assess whether it is the best course for you.
