Interview Techniques
Before you get to interview.
First you need to think about your application for a PGCE course:
- your qualifications (be concise but complete!)
- your personal statement (why teaching, why you, what do you bring to the course?)
- your choice of referees (who can best explain you and your qualifications?)
Now that you have the application ready, do the final checks:
- proof-read
- does this statement demonstrate that you are unique, you are education oriented and you would be an asset to the course?
- do you have an academic reference?
- submit your application EARLY!
You have been invited to interview.
- Check all the instructions sent in your invitation letter.
- Make sure you know the location, venue and timings well.
- Check what documents you need to bring on the day.
