Research at Warwick Institute of Education

Warwick Institute of Education (WIE) is one of the UK's leading education departments with a reputation for excellence in research. In the last government Research Assessment Exercise it was rated seventh for excellence in the UK. Its research strategy has been subject to a major review for the period 2008-2013 and this is embedded within planning at the university level. Warwick has set itself ambitious new targets in research, in income generation and internationalisation and WIE's own plans both reflect and relate to these. Research has been refocused in order to reflect new and evolving research strengths, to strengthen intellectual leadership and to provide a strong and cohesive research culture.
