Retirement gift

A special retirement gift

When alumna Wendy Brooks (MSc, Business Strategy, Organisation Development and Marketing 1975 – 1976) retired from her 20 year career at Hemsley Fraser this summer, she was surprised by one very special retirement gift.

As friends and colleagues gathered round, she found out that Todd Turner, CEO, had arranged a thoughtful gift in her honour:

“Wendy has been an incredible employee and friend to many people here. For her retirement gift, we wanted to honour her dedication, service and contribution to learning and development.

We knew she is a graduate of Warwick and looked at the Benefactors’ Scholarship scheme with great interest. It reflects the values of both Hemsley Fraser and Wendy in nurturing and encouraging people to achieve their potential, and I’m delighted we were able to help.

“It was tricky keeping it secret for so long, but all worth it - Wendy was just thrilled with her gift, and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to honour her in this way.”

Wendy says:

"I have always believed that learning is one of the most powerful ways to enable a person to be the very best they can be.

I have benefited over the years from being an alumna of Warwick and I am deeply honoured that Hemsley Fraser has made it possible for more people to benefit from everything that learning at Warwick has to offer."

We want to say a special thank you to Hemsley Fraser for their thoughtful and generous gift which will help a new student at Warwick this year.
