#TeamWarwickUni 2016

Team Warwick Uni

Congrats to our #TeamWarwickUni runners!

Well done to the 60 runners who donned bright orange shirts and battled through the pouring rain for the annual Two Castles run on Sunday 12 June to raise funds and awareness of cancer research and research into premature birth at the University of Warwick.

Members of #TeamWarwickUni came from across the University’s academic and administrative staff, as well as friends and family of staff members.

Despite the rain, runners persevered to complete the run, some of them gaining new personal best timings. The team also gained the accolade of ‘2nd fastest team overall’ thanks to the speedy running of its fastest four runners – Lloyd Chapman, Samik Datta, Tom Martin & Ben Collyer - and Newlyweds Roger & Rachel Grimes of the University completed the course together, despite Rachel suffering with a leg injury. They have set their sights on a half marathon next!

All the runners gathered together for a well-deserved celebratory drink after the run at the home of one of our supporters in Kenilworth.

Over £1.7k raised so far, can you help us hit our target on Justgiving?

Thank you for your support!
