Statement about Brussels attack

The University is shocked and saddened to learn of events in Brussels and sends its profound sympathy to all those affected.

All of the students and staff who have travelled to Brussels for work, study or to participate in events, of whom we are aware, are safe and well. We have also been able to make contact with the majority of students who are resident in the city and surrounding area with messages being left for the remainder. Thank you to those who have checked in to confirm they are safe. Personal tutors and the Office for Global Engagement are providing support.

More information and advice is available via the School of Modern Languages and Cultures and the Office for Global Engagement.

Support is also available from Student Support via studentsupport@warwick.ac.uk and University Counselling Service via counselling@warwick.ac.uk to any members of the University on campus or currently overseas and affected by these events.

The Government's travel advice for Belgium includes information and advice for those planning to travel to the area, or concerned about family or friends.
