Interpreting Translation

The fourth Ideas Café took place in the EAT restaurant space of the Arts Centre. The topic for discussion during the evening was 'Interpreting Translation.'
The speakers at the event were Michael Hulse, Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies; Professor David Spanswick, Clinical Sciences Research Institute, Warwick Medical School and Professor Shirin Rai, Politics and International Studies. The panel shared their views on the topic of translation, covering areas including the complexities of moving works from one language to another, translational medicine and intercultural transfer. Dr Manav Ratti, Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies, chaired the event.
