Make Your Nomination for the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing
The University has opened nominations for the second Warwick Prize for Writing. All University staff, Honorary Professors and Honorary Graduates can make a nomination – and this time, all Warwick students can do so too.
The Warwick Prize for Writing is unique in its scope: you can nominate any substantial piece of writing in the English language in any genre, discipline or form. It could have been published online, it could be a book, it could be factual or fictional. The Prize aims to identify excellence and innovation in new writing and help to define where writing may go, what new shapes and forms it may take and even through what media it might be conducted.
The theme for the 2011 Prize is "Colour".
So please think creatively and get involved by nominating what you think is the best piece of writing you've come across in the last two years which fits the theme. You can make your nomination, and find out more about the Prize, via the website:

The Judging Panel for 2011 will be chaired by Michael Rosen, award-winning writer and former Children's Laureate.
The first Warwick Prize for Writing was awarded last February to Naomi Klein for The Shock Doctrine at the Warwick Arts Centre, generating international attention and acclaim for the University’s contribution to the discussion about recent writing.
Professor Jeremy Treglown, who takes on the role of Director of the Warwick Prize for Writing for the 2011 award, said:
"The Prize brings together students and staff in debates about current work across all disciplines and genres. It adds a thrilling dimension to our teaching."
Nominations will close on Friday 7 May 2010.
