Graduation 2015: 13-18 July

The ceremonies are a celebration of our students' successes and achievements and will see thousands of students graduating as part of Warwick’s Class of 2015. It's a great time to be on campus and enjoy the atmosphere, congratulations to everyone involved!

During the week we'll also be celebrating the recipients of honorary degrees, Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence, and Outstanding Student Contribution Awards, whose awards will be presented during the degree ceremonies.

You’ll be able to watch the ceremonies on the Big Screen in the Piazza and we'll be sharing updates, news, pictures and videos on insite throughout the week. Join the conversation using the #warwickgrad.

Travel

As in previous years, we've arranged to reduce the amount of congestion on campus by running a park and ride scheme from Stoneleigh. Car park 2 (next to Bluebell) will be unavailable for staff during graduation week so this scheme can run effectively. Staff parking is available nearby in car park 6 (next to the Health Centre), and there is extra pay and display parking on Leighfield Road or in car park 3 (next to Cryfield).

While these measures will greatly reduce the impact of Graduation on campus life, please do be ready for a busier campus over graduation week. You may need to allow extra time for your journey, and we'd advise considering alternatives to parking on campus such as taking the bus, walking or cycling if these are an option for you that week.

Kenilworth Road closure
Warwickshire County Council had announced that a section of Kenilworth Road will be completely closed to all traffic from 13 July until September 2015. They have subsequently announced this will now start on Monday 20 July. The section closed is between the University and Kenilworth, meaning that, while the new Kenilworth Road/Gibbet Hill Road roundabout will be fully accessible, the exit towards Kenilworth will be for access to houses only.

There will be an official diversion route in place via the A46 and A45.

Unsung Heroes

Graduation just wouldn't be possible without lots of Warwick people getting involved with a variety of roles throughout the week. We'll be uploading articles from our Unsung Heroes during graduation.
